Incidents

8/10/15 – A resident in the 900 block of Bender Street reported two of his vehicle tires were punctured overnight.

8/10/15 – North Judson Police took a vandalism report from a resident in the 500 block of Arlington Avenue. The resident says his company work truck was vandalized the previous evening and someone punctured tires on his personal vehicle.

8/10/15 – Officers took a report of a lost wallet in the 600 block of West Talmer Ave.

8/11/15 – Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum officials requested extra patrols.

8/14/15 – Officers responded to a property damage accident at the intersection of Keller Ave. and Adair St. A semi struck a pole and knocked down electrical lines.

08/15/15 – A resident in the 200 block of Arlington Avenue reported his tires were slashed when he was out of town.

8/16/15 – A manager at Subway reported a customer was harassing the employees. The customer was warned not to return to Subway or he would be arrested for criminal trespass.

8/18/15 – A resident reported juvenile problems and a battery that occurred at the town park on Weninger Street.

8/18/15 – North Judson Police responded to a battery complaint in the 400 block of Keller Ave. A report was forwarded to the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office.

8/18/15 – A resident on Jones Street was issued a Town Ordinance Citation for tall grass over 8 inches.

8/21/15 – Officers responded to North Judson-San Pierre High School for a report of juvenile problems. A completed report was forwarded to the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office and juvenile probation for review.

8/21/15 – North Judson K9 Officer Scott Beishuizen conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of E. Talmer Avenue. K9 Gunner indicated the possible presence of narcotics in the vehicle. The driver, Joshua J. Howard, 32, of North Judson, and passenger, Sandra Marie Howard, 33, of North Judson, were arrested on possession of methamphetamine, possession of a synthetic drug and possession of paraphernalia charges.

8/22/15 – A resident reported juveniles placing pieces of wood with nails in the roadway in the area of Walnut Street between Second And Third Streets. The incident was resolved.

8/31/15 – North Judson Police investigated verbal dispute between some juveniles and an adult male at Norwayne Field.

8/31/15 – A parent called the police and reported her son was being harassed. Officers spoke to the parent and the boy accused of harassing.

9/01/15 – North Judson Police responded to a minor theft at Subway involving a former employee and issued a no trespassing warning.

9/02/15 – Police responded to a report of a North Judson-San Pierre High School student possibly in possession of marijuana.

9/03/15 – A citizen reported some juveniles stole a speed limit sign on Collins Street. The incident remains under investigation, and a $50 reward is available for the arrest and conviction of the parties involved. Call the North Judson Police 547-772-5914.

9/4/15- A possible prowler was reported in the 6500 block of S. John Street. The home owner requested extra patrol.

9/7/15 – An intimidation report was taken at the North Judson Police station in reference to a woman threatening the complainant on the telephone. A copy of the report was forwarded to the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

9/8/15 – North Judson Police responded to a minor property damage accident in the CVS parking lot. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.

9/9/15 – North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely took a juvenile battery report and sent a copy to the Starke County Prosecutor.

9/10/15 – A resident in the 6100 block of South John Street reported an attempted residential break-in and damage to some items. The incident is still under investigation.

9/12/15 – A resident reported of a stop sign down at the intersection of Clinton Street and Arlington Avenue. NJ Police contacted the town street department to correct the problem.

9/13/15 – Officers responded to a report of trespassers at the Old Cravens building on Sheridan Avenue and removed four juveniles who were exploring the area.

9/14/15 – A resident in the 400 block of Vine Street reported her cat was shot by an arrow. The incident remains under investigation, and information will be forwarded to the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office for a review of possible charges.

9/16/15 – Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter at the Dollar General Store in North Judson. Valerie Rose Haddix, 46, of North Judson, was arrested on a theft charge. While processing her, the officers reportedly found methamphetamine and a syringe.

9/18/15 – A North Judson Police K-9 assisted traffic stop in the 600 block of Talmer Ave. resulted in three arrests. The driver, Brett A. Baros of San Pierre, and a passenger, Cody C. Walker of San Pierre, were arrested for possession of marijuana. A passenger, Matthew Diaz, was wanted on a bench warrant.

9/19/15 – Officers responded to a report of two people who appeared to be passed out in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Good to Go Oil Company on Talmer Ave. An investigation resulted in the arrests of Alex Fawley, 47, of Knox, and Julie A. Joseph, 43, also of Knox.

8/21/15 – Sandra Marie Howard, 33, North Judson – Possession of methamphetamine, possession of a synthetic drug and possession of paraphernalia.

8/22/15 – Travis Duane Joseph, 31, North Judson – Driving with a suspended license, Knox City Court failure to appear warrant.

9/6/15 – Shane Michael Reed, 28, Winamac – Knox City Court failure to appear warrant.

9/10/15 – Taylor S. Patton, 29, Winamac – Knox City Court warrant for failure to appear, intimidation, resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

9/14/15 – Kayla Jo Belue, 25, North Judson – Parole warrant.

9/15/15 – Marcus N. Back, 31, Plymouth – Marshall County warrant and Fulton County warrant.

9/16/15 – Valerie Rose Haddix, 46, North Judson –Theft, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a syringe.

9/18/15 – Matthew James Diaz, 21, Knox –Bench warrant for minor in possession of alcohol.

9/18/15 – Brett A Baros, 21, Valparaiso – Possession of marijuana.

9/18/15 – Cody C. Walker, 20, San Pierre – Possession of Marijuana.

9/19/15 – Alex Fawley, 47, Knox – Felony O.V.W.I. and dealing in a controlled substance.
