Leadership Starke County Moves Opening Retreat

The opening retreat for the fourth annual Leadership Starke County class has been move to a new date.

Organizers of the class cite low participation in the course for making the decision to cancel the initial date. Class members will be recruited for two more weeks to encourage participation.

The retreat has been moved to October 2nd, though exactly where the retreat will take place has not been disclosed.

Organizers say the class will give participants a new perspective on the county, including its history, culture, challenges, and opportunities for the future. Those taking part will also get a chance to build their leadership skills and meet other emerging and established leaders in Starke County.

There are still a few openings left in the fourth Leadership Starke County class. It runs this month until May 2016.
