The Henry F. Schricker Public Library branch in Knox is closed today and tomorrow to accommodate the parking lot repair and expansion project. Rain on Tuesday postponed the project. Library officials say the contractors will be able to work more quickly and get the project done sooner if they are closed. Safety for library users and children walking over from school is also a priority.
Patrons are asked not to use the drop box at the Schricker Library, as people walking in front of the building will get in the way of the equipment. Books can be renewed online, and overdue fines will be waived.
Previously scheduled programs at the library have not been cancelled. Library officials have contacted the organizations in charge.
Saturday hours will be determined Friday afternoon and will be announced on WKVI and on the library’s website at www.scpls.org or Facebook page.
