Ancilla College Schedules Residence Hall Open House and Dedication

Residence Hall 1The new residence hall at Ancilla College has proven to be a game-changer for the state’s only private, two-year liberal arts school. Enrollment has increased by nearly 25 percent, according to school officials. The hall is booked to capacity with 100 new freshmen, many of whom hail from farther than the school’s traditional commuter range.

Members of the public are invited to see the inside of the 30,000 square foot residence hall on Tuesday, Aug. 18th at 4 p.m. EDT. The Most Reverend Bishop Kevin Rhoades will perform a home blessing ceremony as well. Such ceremonies are sacred to the Catholic faith and symbolize a new beginning.

Ancilla President Dr. Ken Zirkle says the hall is changing the face of the school and the Marshall County community. U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski and a representative from U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly’s office are among those expected to attend the ceremony.
