Official Final Call for WKVIdol

wkvidolA deadline extension was allowed but it can’t last forever; the final call for WKVIdol submissions is here. Kids still have a chance to send their minute long singing sample and contact information into the station until the close of business hours today.

The oldest age category of teens 15 through 18 is filled up but contestants are still needed for the middle category of children 11 through 14 and there are open spots in the youngest category for kids 7 through 10. In order to apply just send in your contact information as well as a singing demo, no longer than 60 seconds, through CD audio, Mp3 file or email to wkvidol@wkvi.com.

All individuals who meet the specified age qualifications are invited to participate, not just those living in Starke County. However, if you are applying and live elsewhere you are responsible for finding your own way to the contest scheduled for Monday at 8 pm in the show arena of the Hamlet 4-H fairgrounds. All contestants are also responsible for providing their own musical arrangements. The judges of the competition are WKVI’s Nathan Welter and Mary Perren as well as Knox Community Schools Band Director Craige Phipps. Awards will be provided by Sports Unlimited.
