Tippecanoe River Flood Warning Extended

 
 

The Tippecanoe River is out of its banks in Ora. The National Weather Service has extended the flood warning in that area until further notice. As of 9 last night, the river was at 12.2 feet and rising.

Flood stage is 12 feet. Minor flooding is occurring, and moderate flooding is forecast. At 13 feet it begins to affect streets and homes in Monterey. More rain is in today’s forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest near 13.2 feet early Saturday afternoon and begin falling. That compares to a previous crest of 13.4 feet which occurred on June 15, 2013.
