Winamac Woman Airlifted to South Bend After ATV Wreck

A Winamac woman was airlifted to a South Bend hospital following an ATV wreck in southeastern Pulaski County. It happened around 3:20 p.m. Thursday, according to officials with DNR Law Enforcement.

They say Cora Wensauer, 39, was southbound in the 8400 block of 800 West at a high rate of speed, attempted to turn into a driveway and flipped a Polaris Razor. She and a passenger, Travis Conley, 28, of Winamac, were both thrown from the vehicle. Neither were wearing helmets. Wensauer complained of back and pelvic pain. Information about her condition was not available from Memorial Hospital of South Bend this morning. Officials do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
