Winamac Town Park Entrance

Beautification of the town park’s entrance in Winamac took another step this week.

The Town Council on Monday night reviewed plans that were recommended by the Park Board.

In order to provide landscaping and other beautification efforts, several changes must first be made, including removing decorative trees from the park’s entrance. Lighting at the site was also brought up as a concern in the designs.

Two bids were reviewed by the Town Council on Monday to complete the updates. The lower bid of $3,600 was approved from Jerry Jones, otherwise known as Jones Nursery.

The Town Council requested that proof of liability insurance be submitted prior to starting work at the Town Park.

The Council approved the bid unanimously.
