Knox City Council Approves Toll Brothers Tax Abatement

The Knox City Council reviewed paperwork this week for tax abatement purposes for Toll Brothers in Knox.

General Manager Brian Trapp presented the council with the documents to show their requirements to be granted tax abatement. The company first sought tax abatement eight years ago. They are up nine employees since last year.

Toll Brothers, a Fortune 1000 company, is the nation’s premier builder of luxury homes and is a publicly owned company whose stock is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

New lines have been integrated including an apartment option. The company is in the process of completing outside sales.

City Attorney David Matsey reviewed the paperwork and commented that everything appeared to be in substantial compliance. The council approved the tax abatement by a unanimous vote.
