A grocery store in Starke County will be going up for sale.
The owner’s of Ray’s Super Foods disclosed on Wednesday of this week that they were planning to “make a change.” The move was announced as an advertisement in The Market – a weekly advertising publication.
According to language in the advertisement, the building where Ray’s Super Foods is located and the business are up for sale. The number of Starke County grocery stores has been dwindling.
Ray’s Super Foods has been operating in North Judson for the past 18 years. Ray Wajda – owner of the business – thanked store patrons for their support.
Should the building be sold, it is unknown at this time if the store would necessarily close its doors. There has also been no word on the fate of the employees at this time.
Repeated phone calls requesting comment on the situation have gone unreturned.
