1/26/15 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department responded to a property damage accident on 600 East just south of 400 North in Hamlet.

1/26/15 – Jason Cooke was placed on lock-down in an isolation cell at the Starke County Jail after he allegedly became combative with jail personnel and Starke County Sheriff’s Deputies, who used a taser on him twice. The incident is under investigation.

1/26/15 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department responded to a vehicle versus deer crash on 600 North east of 800 East in Knox.

1/26/15 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department took a report of a vehicle versus deer crash that occurred on English Lake Road.

1/28/15 – A Monterey resident reported receiving a scam telephone call from 281-791-0111 advising his loan for $1,500 was approved and said he did not apply for a loan.

1/28/15 – A Knox resident reported beings scammed out of $285 and an additional $310 from a company in North Carolina.

1/28/15 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Toto and Range Roads. One person complained of back and neck pain but did not want an ambulance.

1/28/15 – A resident in the 8800 block of North 1175 East in Walkerton reported the theft of his son’s Adderall medication.

1/28/15 – Officers responded to a two-vehicle property damage accident on State Road 23 in front of the Koontz Lake Grocery Store.

1/29/15 – An official from Wells Fargo Bank reported the theft of items from a foreclosed home in the 1800 block of east 250 South in Knox.

1/29/15 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department, Starke County EMS and Washington Township Fire Department First Responders responded to a traffic accident in the 11400 block of East State Road 8 in Knox.

1/30/2015 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department took a report of a single-vehicle property damage accident on 1000 East at State Road 8.

1/31/15 – A North Judson resident reported a vehicle theft.

1/31/15 – A resident in the 1900 block of west 200 South Sq. in North Judson caught two men trying to steal a 4-wheeler and said they took off westbound on 200 South in a red 1993 Chevrolet truck.

1/31/15 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single-vehicle property damage accident on U.S. 35 near Economy Auto in Knox.

Incidents

1/20/15 – Several items were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of South Heaton Street in Knox, including a television, Xbox One, handgun, magazines and ammunition.

1/20/15 – A Knox woman reported her 1995 Ford Mustang was stolen and sold to a man in Hamlet. She advised her name was forged on the title before the car was sold for $300.

1/26/15 – A Knox woman reported criminal trespass and damage to her property and told officers she has video of a known suspect damaging her vehicle on Jan. 22.

1/29/15 – A man reported the security light on shelter 6 at Wythogan Park in Knox was broken. The officer who took the report noted this damage is in addition to incidents where suspects broke a plexiglass display located on the south side of the concession stand.

1/29/15 – A television, laptop computer and a pool stick bag are among the items reported missing from a residence in the 100 block of North East Street.
