Suspicious Activity at Culver CVS Leads to Meth Related Arrests

 
 

Suspicious activity at the CVS in Culver led Indiana State Police to assist local police.

Officers responded January 21st around 1 p.m. to the area of East Lake Shore Drive and Coolidge Street in Culver.

According to the report, one of the individuals was wearing a ski-mask inside the CVS location and allegedly purchased items associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine.

The Indiana State Police located the vehicle after it was stopped for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed the items purchased at the CVS location as well as other drug items. Police said they seized items including batteries and instant cold packs. The driver and a passenger were subsequently arrested.

26-year-old Seth Layman is being charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Manufacture. One of the passengers, 26-year-old Jamie Beam is being charged with the same offense.

According to a release, a third passenger was released in the incident. Information has been passed along to the Marshall County Prosecutor’s office for further review.
