Significant Overnight Snowfall Possible

The Kankakee Valley is in the path of a significant snow storm. AccuWeather.com meterologist Heather Zehr says it will start falling during the overnight hours and continue snowing most of the day on Sunday.

“If you have plans to head out to a Super Bowl party or if you have people coming in for a super bowl gathering, you’re going to want to make sure you have things cleared as well. The snow will just be starting to wind down during the early part of the game.” Zehr said.

Accumulations of between 6 and 12 inches of snow are possible. Blowing and drifting may create hazardous conditions Sunday night into Monday morning. The WKVI Information Center will be staffed, and we will bring you the very latest closing and delay information.
