Police Looking for Suspect in Stabbing Incident in Knox

 
 

Knox City police are looking for a suspect who stabbed Brandon Davidson in the early morning hours of Sunday, Nov. 30.

According to police, Benton Christopher Howard and Davidson got into an argument at a residence in Knox. Davidson told Howard that he didn’t want to fight, but a fight ensued. During the scuffle, Howard allegedly unsheathed a knife from his hip and stabbed Davidson in the chest.

After he was stabbed, Davidson told police that he remembered being in pain and that he was bleeding. He said he had a hard time keeping up his head, according to an affidavit for probable cause. He stated that he didn’t remember arriving at the hospital or being transported to an area trauma center.

Davidson sustained a single stab wound that collapsed his lung and damaged his heart.

Formal charges of attempted murder as a Level 1 felony and aggravated battery as a Level 3 felony have been filed against Benton Christopher Howard. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. If you know of his whereabouts, call the Knox City Police Department with an anonymous tip at (574) 772-4122.
