Two Rooms Dedicated at Ancilla College

IMG_0019 IMG_0024Ancilla College recently honored two individuals by naming classrooms after them. Dr. Otis Bowen and Jim Hardesty each have a plaque hanging outside two rooms to commemorate them.

Bowen served on the Ancilla Board of Trustees in the 1970s. He was Indiana’s governor from 1973 to 1981 and the secretary of health and human services during the Reagan administration.

Hardesty was a World War II veteran, a Starke County historian, farmer and philanthropist. He recently donated over $1 million dollars to the school. Ancilla College Vice President of Development Todd Zeltwanger said, “these two men helped change the lives of hundreds of area students.” He added “their legacy of service and generosity will be felt for years to come.”
