Marshall County Economic Development Corporation Launches Strategic Plan

MCEDCA long range strategic plan focused on economic growth was launched this week by officials from the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation.

This is the first formal county plan of this kind to be implemented by the organization and its partnering agencies.

Four specific programs are highlighted in the plan: Business Expansion and Retention (BEAR), business attraction, entrepreneurial hub, and a workforce development program.

The four programs combined will use best practices and a structured interview process for businesses, market the county and municipalities while developing business assets to attract industries, develop and cultivate regional innovation and entrepreneurial activity, and develop an immediate plan to address the availability of workers and will partner with others to ensure potential employees have the skills that employers require.

The recent launch of the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation website is also a tool to help officials reach goals within its strategic plan.
