A middle school principal will be laid to rest today.
Rodger Seats, 56, served as the assistant principal at the Rensselaer Central Middle School. As a long-time educator, he served in the capacity of athletic director, assistant principal and a teacher at many school corporations including West Central, North Judson-San Pierre, Kankakee Valley, Delta, and Union Schools. He also coached a variety of sports including football, baseball, cross country and wrestling.
He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Cubs.
Visitation is today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. CT the Rensselaer Central Middle School with the funeral service at 2 p.m. at the school. Memorials may be given to the Rensselaer Middle School Student Fund. Arrangements are being handled by the Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville.
