Eastern Pulaski School Board Accepts Grant

The Eastern Pulaski School Board approved the reception of the Indiana Secured School Safety grant for 2015.

Superintendent Dan Foster said the $34,000 grant will be used for safety upgrades at the schools.

“We’re looking at doing some additional video camera work plus a threat assessment,” explained Foster. “We were one of a few in the state who chose to do a threat assessment. We’ll have somebody come in and look at our facilities on two separate days, they’ll attend an extra curricular event and give us feedback in a nice report. The grant money is wonderful and we certainly want to make sure we’re spending it appropriately. This assessment will be a good thing for us.”
