A man was arrested in Marshall County Thursday night after leaving the scene of an accident.
Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene at U.S. 30 and King Road where a two-vehicle accident occurred. The driver of the car who reportedly caused the accident fled the scene.
Officers found the suspect’s vehicle traveling on the new U.S. 31 highway and attempted a traffic stop. The suspect didn’t not stop and a pursuit began. The vehicle came to a stop at the intersection of U.S. 6 and the driver, John Vogt, was arrested without incident.
Vogt was booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of leaving the scene of a property damage accident, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement.
