Michigan City Native Joins SCILL Center Welding Program Staff

A Michigan City native with extensive hands-on welding experience is set to join the staff of the SCILL Center welding technology program. Starting Monday, Elizabeth Tylisz will be teaching the morning vocational welding class and some of the adult welding classes.

She’s a Michigan City High School graduate who won the Art Student of the Year Award in 2000. Tylisz also earned a welding technology diploma and several certificates of completion from Baran Institute of Technology in East Windsor, Conn. She’s worked as a welder in the including aerospace, nuclear and a paper mill industries and has taught welding at Lincoln Technical Institute in East Windsor, Conn. for the past 2.5 years to students ages 17 and older. Tylisz will join Certified Welding Inspector Andy Odle on the SCILL Center Instructional Team.
