Eastern Pulaski Community School Board’s Decision on Weapons Policy

antigunThe Eastern Pulaski School Board met Monday evening to further discuss their weapons policy. Due to the new state law allowing concealed weapons in vehicles, school corporations were given the option to amend their policies regarding firearms. The current sheriff, the chief of police and the two candidates in the running for sheriff attended the deliberation and engaged in a lengthy discussion with board members. In the end, the board voted to not allow employees to posses weapons. Their policy remains unamended, police officers will continue to monitor the schools and faculty is not permitted to posses firearms within the schools.
