A Deerfield, Ill.-based packaging company is expanding its operations in Marshall County. Pregis Protective Packaging Solutions currently operates a 360,000 square foot facility in Plymouth. The city council this week approved a tax abatement for the company’s $2.3 million local investment.
The expansion includes the lease of a nearby 62,000 square foot building. Part of the company’s existing operations will be moved there. New manufacturing equipment will also be added. The new facility should be operational by the end of the third quarter. City officials say it will double previous production capacity and create 10 new jobs.
Pregis serves a variety of consumer and industrial market segments, including food, beverage, healthcare, medical devices, agriculture, e-commerce, retail, automotive, furniture, electronics and the military/aerospace industry. Visit www.pregis.com for more information.
