An Argos man’s criminal case wrapped up in Marshall County Superior Court 1 after he was sentenced Thursday morning.

John Bobby, 49, pleaded guilty in a plea agreement with the State to a charge of possession of methamphetamine within a public housing complex. The terms of the agreement called for a ten year sentence in the Indiana Department of Corrections on the charge which Judge Robert O. Bowen accepted. Bobby was sentenced to that term with no part of the sentence suspended and he will be able to participate in purposeful incarceration while imprisoned.

Bobby was one of nine people inside an apartment at the Country Place Apartment complex on Feb. 15, 2013 when Plymouth Police officers arrived and found an active meth lab. Two children, ages two and five, were taken to the hospital to be decontaminated and to be placed in the custody of the Department of Child Services. John Bobby and several other people jumped out of the second story window to avoid arrest. Bobby escaped apprehension but the rest of the suspects were quickly apprehended. Bobby was later taken into custody after a warrant for his arrest was issued. He was arrested nearly a week later where he was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine.
