Political Signs Should be Removed by Next Week

With the Primary Election in the rear view mirror, candidates are reminded that in the City of Knox all political signs, posters or other outdoor advertisements must be removed no later than seven (7) days after the election. This is also applicable for the General Election in November.

A written violation will be given to any violators and if the violation is not corrected within three days after the notification, then a fine of $25 per day shall be assessed.

Check with the Clerk-Treasurer of any town or city jurisdiction to review the ordinance information.

The Indiana Department of Transportation does not allow the placement of any signs in the state right-of-way. Those signs will be removed and stored at local INDOT facilities for pick up.
