Miles the Monster should be afraid of Kyle Busch as he won the Buckle Up 200 presented by Click it or Ticket Saturday afternoon in the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Dover International Speedway. He also won the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race Friday night. Can he win all three races this weekend?

Busch had to work in the beginning to get to the lead. Pole-sitter Joey Logano had a strong lead and Busch made his way to the second spot by lap 49. By lap 63, Busch gained on Logano and after a debris caution on lap 73, Busch was able to power his way to clean air. Trevor Bayne and Matt Kenseth attempted to get the lead from Busch on a couple of tries but the No. 54 was too strong to take any opposition.

Very few cautions occurred during the race. Todd Bodine’s engine gave way on lap 18, debris caused two cautions and an incident on lap 148 that involved Ryan Reed, James Buescher and Cale Conley slowed the field. Conley’s car came to rest in the grass next to the blend-in lane on the track and when his car was loaded onto the rollback, the truck got stuck. Extra time was needed to pull that truck out of the soft grass and the race continued.

The race lasted less than two hours.

Trevor Bayne had a good run as he finished in the runner up position. He had to battle with Sprint Cup regulars Joey Logano and Matt Kenseth to get to that spot. Chase Elliott, who is up for Rookie of the Year, also had a good race with a fifth place finish.

It’s hard to save a car at Dover, or so it’s been said. Chris Buescher put that to the test when he got loose and went for a sideways ride, but straightened it out before he could incur any damage. Take that, Miles.

The top ten: Kyle Busch, Trevor Bayne, Joey Logano, Matt Kenseth, Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, Brian Scott, Ty Dillon, Elliott Sadler and Regan Smith.

With a top-ten finish, Regan Smith remains atop the points standings with four points over Elliott Sadler. He is followed by Chase Elliott and Trevor Bayne while Ty Dillon rounds out the top five in points.

The next race will be Saturday, June 14 at 2 p.m. ET for the NASCAR Nationwide Series June Michigan Race at Michigan International Speedway.
