Incidents:
04/14/14 Police investigated a missing vehicle which turned out to be a civil matter involving late payments in the 200 block of W. Weninger

04/15/14 A report of a violation of a Protection Order by police in the 200 Block of Garden Street. Charges were requested through the Starke County Prosecutor’s office.

04/17/14 A report was given to police about littering in the area of the Hoosier Valley Train Museum and grounds.

04/17/14 Police received a report of juveniles on dirt bikes recklessly riding on the roadway in the area of Arlington Avenue. Upon arrival, no violators were located.

04/18/14 A parent told police that her daughter and other friends are being harassed via text messaging and Facebook. This remains under investigation.

04/18/14 Police responded to a call of loud and vulgar music in the area of Wilson and Garden Streets. The music was off when officers checked the area.

04/19/14 An incident of fraud was reported to police. A debit card was compromised and charges made in the Washington DC area. The cards were deactivated and a complete report made.

04/19/14 A informational report was taken in reference to a suspicious circumstance.

Incidents:

4/15/14 – The Star City Fire Department and Winamac E.M.S responded to a shed fire.

4/15/14- The Winamac Fire Department responded to a fire involving a state vehicle.

4/16/14- Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies and Winamac Police responded to a domestic dispute between man and his ex-wife.

4/17/14- Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an report of shots fired.

4/18/14- The Winamac Fire Department responded to a fire in the woods near a local residence.

4/18/14- The Medaryville Fire Department responded to a corn field fire that got out of hand.

4/18/14- The Star City Fire Department responded to a field fire that was spreading at an alarming rate.

4/19/14- The Medaryville Fire Department responded to an out -of-control grass fire.

4/19/14- Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a domestic dispute between a woman and her step-daughter.

4/19/14- Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies respond to a domestic dispute between a family.

4/19/14- Francesville E.M.S, Winamac Police and Medaryville Fire Department all responded to an out-of-control grass fire.

4/19/14- Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies and Winamac Police responded to a complaint of a neighbor shooting. The caller was concerned about where the shots were coming from.

4/19/14- The Star City Fire Department was called to extinguish a fire caused by leaf burning that got out of hand.

4/20/14- Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies, Pulaski County REACT and the Winamac Fire Deptartment all responded to a ditch fire that was spreading to a nearby field. A pole also caught fire.

Incidents:

4/14/14 – A resident in the 6100 block of W. 700 S. in North Judson requested an officer after a 14-year-old who was refusing to go to school pulled a knife on him. He managed to get the knife away from her and was holding her on the ground.

4/14/14 – Damage was reported to a home in the 6600 East block of Toto Road in Knox.

4/14/14 – A caller advised cows and a horse were in the road on 500 South between 100 East and Range Road.

4/14/14 – A resident in the 2500 block of East 150 South called to report damage to her mailbox.

4/14/14 – A protective order violation was reported in the 10100 block of East 700 South in Culver.

4/14/14 – A woman in the 11000 block of East 50 North in Knox asked to speak to an officer about a four-wheeler she recently purchased from a woman whose ex-husband now claims she has no right to it.

4/14/14 – Starke County Sheriff’s Deputies served a protective order in the 5800 block of U Road in North Judson.

4/14/14 – Officers responded to a report of a young boy on the ground near the intersection of 200 South and Roosevelt Road with another one crouched over him. The youngsters told the officer they were leaving the pool hall and walking to a residence down the road. The officer gave them a ride and told them to try to stay off the road because it is slippery.

4/14/14 – Deputies responded to a report of a suspicions vehicle in the 10000 block of East 50 South in Knox. The occupants of the vehicle entered a nearby residence when they saw a patrol car.

4/14/14 – Anna J. Seago, 49, of North Judson, hit a deer on State Road 10 east of State Road 39.

4/14/14 – Dispatchers were notified of a commercial burglar alarm in the 400 block of North Heaton Street.

4/15/14 – A resident in the 2700 block of East 100 South in Knox reported damage to his front fence and yard.

4/15/14 – A resident in the 800 block of U.S. 35 called the sheriff’s office to report he lost his grey and black great dane.

4/15/14 – A resident in the 1600 block of 700 East in Knox asked an officer to go to his ex’s house and get his child’s winter coat back.

4/15/14 – A disabled vehicle was reported at the gas station in Koontz Lake.

4/15/14 – A resident in the 6600 block of South 250 West in North Judson reported her neighbor’s dogs keep coming into her yard. She’s not sure if they are vicious.

4/15/14 – A resident came to the sheriff’s department to file a report about an alleged incident at a Short Street residence the previous day.

4/15/14 – A resident in the 400 block of North 100 West in Knox called the sheriff’s office after her dog bit someone who was at her residence looking at her boat. She said the person was on the way to the hospital for treatment. This is not the first time the dog has bitten someone. She wants it put down but is on house arrest and cannot leave.

4/15/14 – A resident in the 11500 block of East 150 South in Culver advised her two German Shorthaired Pointers are missing. They are dark brown and white. One has a collar, and one does not. She has contacted the Starke and Marshall County Humane Societies.

4/15/14 – A welfare check was requested in the 4000 block of South 500 East in Knox.

4/15/14 – A single-vehicle accident with injuries was reported at Culver Road and 300 East in Knox. An 18-year-old was reportedly thrown into the windshield and injured but is conscious.

4/16/14 – Officers were notified of a domestic disturbance on Old U.S. 30 in Hamlet. The parties agreed to separate before an officer arrived.

4/16/14 – A contractor reported the theft of a water heater from a bank-owned home in the 8800 block of East 150 North in Knox.

4/16/14 – Officers were notified of a woman pushing a cart on U.S. 30 in the the emergency lane walking eastbound in the westbound lane.

4/16/14 – Deputies were asked by Adult Protective Services to conduct a wellness check on a resident in the 100 block of West Toto Road.

4/16/14 – Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a moped driven by Daniel W. Simpson, 25, at the intersection of Prettyman and Washington Streets in Knox and issued a citation.

4/16/14 – A resident in the 10900 Block of Mohawk Road in Walkerton asked to speak with an officer about pieces that were broken off a pontoon boat he had in his yard awaiting restoration.

4/16/14 – A resident in the 6200 block of South 600 East in Knox reported his neighbors are building a house and using his property as a latrine. He showed the officers photos of where the suspects have been defecating on his property and said he wants them to stop.

4/17/14 – A man notified dispatchers that his red Dodge Dakota truck has a flat tire on State Road 23 going into Koontz Lake and said he would be there as soon as possible to change it.

4/17/14 – A vehicle versus deer accident was reported on 400 South east of 200 East in Knox.

4/17/14 – A resident in the 1900 block of West 450 South in North Judson reported someone struck his mailbox with a vehicle.

4/17/14 – A resident in the 6500 block of East 400 North in Groverton said he found a speedboat that appeared to have been gutted between the pole barns on his property. He said it wasn’t there two weeks ago.

4/17/14 – A resident in the 5300 block of North 1075 East in Grovertown called to report a llama in the roadway.

4/17/14 – A caller reported a dog in the road on U.S. 30 near State Road 23.

4/17/14 – A deputy served a protective order on a resident in the 3100 block of East 900 North in Hamlet.

4/17/14 – Pulaski County dispatchers transferred a 911 call regarding a domestic dispute between a mother and a son in the 8100 block of South 600 East.

4/17/14 – A resident in the 4500 block of South 600 West in North Judson asked to speak to an officer about people who target shoot up against his woods.

4/17/14 – A resident in the 10100 block of East 700 North in Knox asked to speak to an officer about his neighbor’s chickens coming onto her property and causing mischief.

4/17/14 – A resident in the 7100 block of Evergreen Drive in Koontz Lake told an officer she thought a neighbor kid did something to her dog.

4/17/14 – A resident in the 5900 block of South State Road 10 reported vehicles in the field behind his residence. A deputy checked and found that they were farmers tending to fields.

4/17/14 – A resident in the 7100 block of East 50 South in Knox reported receiving harassing telephone calls.

4/18/14 – A resident in the 5500 block of East Manor Drive in Knox reported someone letting off fireworks by Hickory Hills Campground.

4/18/14 – Officers responded to a traffic accident at the intersection of 600 North and 600 East in Hamlet involving vehicles driven by Brandon William Ferch, 27, of Hamlet, and Lynee M. Marsh, 23, of Grovertown.

4/18/14 – A resident in the 6800 block of East Oakwood Street in Knox reported his neighbor’s middle school-aged kids are in the yard fighting, arguing, cussing and disturbing the peace.

4/18/14 – A resident in the 3100 block of South 900 West in San Pierre filed a complaint against someone sending him email.

4/18/14 – Deputies received a report of a blue Pontiac G6 with the windows busted out that has been parked on State Road 23 at the Koontz Lake Dam in Walkerton for several hours.

4/18/14 – A resident in the 9800 block of East 700 North in Walkerton asked an officer to take a report of damage to his property from a fire that the fire department just responded to.

4/18/14 – A resident in the 1900 block of West 450 South in North Judson said he came home and discovered someone came into his unlocked home and stole his wife’s oxycodone.

4/18/14 – A resident in the 9900 block of East Greenwood Street in Grovertown asked to file a report regarding a juvenile neighbor point and shoot a BB gun at his son as he was riding his go-kart.

4/18/14 – Paramvir Singh Sawhney, 28, of Warsaw, was cited for driving 78 in a 60 mph speed zone on U.S. 30 westbound, west of the hotel. He was also issued a warning for failing to signal while changing lanes twice.

4/19/14 – A resident in the 6200 block of South 300 East in Knox reported a van and pickup truck smashed his mailbox and left driving southbound.

4/19/14 – A 16-year-old male told deputies he was at a party when men he didn’t know took his car and wrecked it. The vehicle was found in a ditch at 900 East and 600 North in Hamlet.

4/19/14 – A deputy responded to a suspicious vehicle on U.S. 30 parked all the way in the back of Guntown.

4/19/14 – A resident in the 900 block of West 500 South in North Judson reported that her mailbox was destroyed the previous night.

4/19/14 – A resident in the 2100 block of East 700 South in North Judson reported damage to his mailbox and said the telephone canister is gone from the southeast corner of 200 East and 700 South.

4/19/14 – A citation was issued to the driver of a black GMC Sierra for driving 91 in a 60 mile-per-hour zone on U.S. 30 East of Knoll Brothers.

4/19/14 – Deputies received an anonymous tip about property previously reported stolen that the owner may be hiding.

4/19/14 – A resident in the 500 block of East Lake Street in Knox reported her male boxer is missing. His name is Kimbo and he is wearing an orange collar.

4/19/14 – A resident in the 3500 block of East 100 North in Knox reported a small white dog at his residence that belongs to someone on 400 South.

4/19/14 – Starke County Sheriff’s Deputies, the Knox Fire Department and Starke County EMS responded to a report of a vehicle rolled over in a ditch on State Road 8 at Range Road in Knox. The vehicle was driven by Susan J. Vukelich, 55, of Schererville.

4/19/14 – Starke County Sheriff’s Deputies, the California Township Fire Department and Starke County EMS responded to a motorcycle accident with injuries at the intersection of 550 South and State Road 10 in North Judson. Keith Craig, 64, of Delphi, and a woman were both thrown from the bike

4/20/14 – Deputies were advised a man on a bicycle west of 625 East on CR 210 keeps falling off a bicycle.

4/20/14 – A woman in the 9300 block of East 200 South in Knox said her boyfriend has custody of his children who are at their mom’s house right now. They want to get the children, but his copy of the custody paperwork was destroyed in a recent fire. He was advised to contact the court for a copy of the paperwork.

4/20/14 – A resident in the 9500 block of East 225 South in Knox reported somebody cut her telephone lines last night.

4/20/14 – A vehicle driven by Dion V. McCay, 42, of Knox, hit a tree in the 3400 block of north 1200 East in Plymouth. The Koontz Lake Fire Department and Starke County EMS responded.

4/20/14 – A resident in the 2000 block of North Garba Drive in Knox reported that her brother came to her residence, kicked her car and dented it, and left on foot but will probably be back.

4/18/14 – Brandon William Ferch, 27, Hamlet: Possession of a controlled substance.

4/19/14 – Terry W. Ashton, 38, Knox: Possession of a syringe, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia.
