Incidents:
04/07/14 Officers engaged in a high speed pursuit on U.S. 30 from Pioneer in Marshall County. They were in pursuit of a black Impala with temporary tags.

04/07/14 A resident in the 2900 block of W. 625 S. in North Judson reported mailbox damage.

04/08/14 North Judson firefighters and support were called to a brush fire in the 4000 block of W. Roberts Lane in North Judson.

04/09/14 James Royce took off from custody of the jail staff when walking from the Starke County Courthouse.

04/09/14 A resident in the 8000 block of N. Tecumseh Rd. in Walkerton called police when he saw the door kicked in at his neighbor’s residence.

04/09/14 Officers took a report from an alleged victim of battery from an incident at Bowlaway Lanes.

04/10/14 A victim of theft notified police that his possessions that were stolen were at the pawn shop.

04/10/14 A resident in the 1100 block of S. 1025 E. in Knox told police that some unknown person(s) cut down a tree on her property. Another resident in the 2100 block of E. 200 E. in Knox came home and found a tree cut up on the property without permission

04/11/14 A shopper at Save-a-Lot called police to report a theft from her vehicle.

04/11/14 A homeowner in the 7900 block of E. 50 S. in Knox told police that a pickup truck hit her fence and left the scene.

04/12/14 A report of an alleged sexual assault was taken.

04/12/14 A Walkerton man reported the theft of his trailer.

04/12/14 Meth trash was found in the 1200 block of S. 300 E. in Knox. Empty packages of pseudoephedrine and batteries were found amongst the trash.

04/12/14 Property vandalism was reported in the 5300 block of S. Elm Street in Knox.

04/12/14 A San Pierre resident reported the theft of a license plate from a fishing boat.

04/13/14 A report of a stolen lawn mower was taken from a residence in the 8900 block of E. Long Lane Dr. in Knox.

04/13/14 A burning complaint was made in the 800 block of S. 1025 E. in Knox.

04/13/14 A Knox resident told police that his truck tire was slashed.

04/13/14 A North Judson resident told police that some unknown person(s) were digging holes in the yard.

04/13/14 A man in the 8100 block of E. 550 S. in Knox told police that someone broke into his home.

04/13/14 Police were called to a home in the 11500 block of E. 900 S. in Culver in reference to a possible burglary. The home owner told police that she just returned home and found the back doors open. No one was authorized to be in the home.

Arrests:
04/09/14 Spenser Overton, 25, of Knox was arrested on a preliminary charge of Conversion.

04/09/14 Dorsie Cooper, 19, of Walkerton was arrested on a preliminary charge of Disorderly Conduct.

04/09/14 Benjamin Cooper, 21, of Walkerton was arrested on preliminary charges of Disorderly Conduct, Public Intoxication and Resisting Law Enforcement.

Incidents:
04/06/14 A driver of a vehicle reported to North Judson police, that juveniles were throwing eggs at vehicles in the area of Franklin Street and Main Street. The officer checked the area and was unable to locate the juveniles.

04/07/14 North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely was dispatched to check on a possible intoxicated driver in a four-door green Chevy Impala traveling east on West Talmer Avenue from the Good To Go gas station. Chief Vessely performed a traffic stop on the vehicle on State Road 10 by the railroad tracks east of North Judson. After a brief investigation by Chief Vessely, the driver of the vehicle, Lonzo Lee Jackson, 43, Knox, was arrested on preliminary misdemeanor charges of Driving While Suspended and Operating Vehicle While Intoxicated. Jackson was transported to the Starke County Jail and turned over to the jail staff without incident.

04/07/14 Burglary and theft reports were taken by North Judson police at North Judson U Lock Storage on Oakwood Street. North Judson Police are still investigating this incident.

04/08/14 A criminal trespass report was taken by police in the 6000 block of County Road 500 West. A male subject previously warned for criminal trespass was on the property again. North Judson Police Officer Frank Thomas provided a completed report to the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office for charges of Criminal Trespass against the subject. North Judson Police will not release the name of the subject until formal charges are filed on the subject.

04/10/14 North Judson Police Officer Frank Thomas located a wanted subject in the 6000 block of C.R. 375 West. Ivan Sandlin, 30, North Judson, was arrested on a warrant out of Jasper County. Thomas was transported to the Starke/Jasper County Line and turned over to the Jasper County Sheriff Department without incident.

04/11/14 Police investigated a property damage accident just north of North Judson on English Lake Road. The driver of the vehicle reported to Officer Frank Thomas that he struck a deer. Officer Thomas estimated the damages at over $1,000.

04/11/14 Police responded to a fight complaint in the 500 block of Laurel Street. Before Officers arrived, the subjects were separated. A complete report was filed with the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office.

04/12/14 Police located a wanted subject in the 6100 block of south John Street. Taylor S. Patton, 27, of Winamac was arrested for two Pulaski County Warrants. Patton was transported to the Starke/Pulaski County Line and turned over to the Pulaski County Sheriff Department without incident.

Arrests:
04/07/14 Lonzo Lee Jackson, 43, of Knox, IN, was arrested on preliminary misdemeanor charges of Driving While Suspended and Operating Vehicle While Intoxicated.

04/10/14 Ivan Sandlin, 30, of North Judson, IN, was arrested on a Jasper County Warrant.

04/10/14 Winamac police responded to a harassment call.

04/11/14 Medaryville Fire Department firefighters responded to a railroad tie fire.

04/13/14 Pulaski deputies responded to a report of missing items.

04/14/14 An employee at a local business told police that a local man drove off without paying for kerosene.

04/14/14 A woman notified police that some of her property is missing from her garage.

04/14/14 Deputies responded to a harassment incident.

04/15/14 Douglas Whiteman, Jr., 28 of Winamac, IN, arrested on a probation violation.

04/14/14 Lawrence Minarik, Jr., 32, of San Pierre, IN, arrested on a probation violation.

04/12/14 Christopher Sypulski, 33, of Lowell, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine).

04/10/14 Robert Kurich, 40, of Chicago, IL arrested on a warrant for Failure to Appear.

04/08/14 Ryan Loehmer, 25, of Culver, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Theft and Fraud.

04/07/14 Devin Trusty, 28, of Medaryville, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Theft.
