Two Arrested After Burglaries in Grovertown Last Year

 
 
Two subjects have been arrested in connection with a string of burglaries in July 2013 in the Grovertown area. According to a press release from the Starke County Sheriff’s Department, the scenes were processed by the Indiana State Police Crime Scene Tech and detectives from the Starke County Sheriff’s Department.

Officers located DNA and fingerprints on items that were found. These pieces of evidence were then sent to the Indiana State Police Lowell Lab, where they confirmed that the DNA and fingerprints were those of 21-year-old Cody Sobieck and 21-year-old Zachary Bastin, both of Grovertown.

The pair was arrested on charges of Burglary, Theft and Criminal Mischief. Sobieck is being held at the Starke County Jail on a $50,000 surety bond, while Bastin is held on a $400,000 surety bond.
