National Day of Prayer Set for May 1

 
 
The National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 1 and the City of Knox will host a prayer breakfast that morning at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center.

The theme this year is “One Voice United in Prayer.” This year’s breakfast will be catered by Christos. The breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. and will end promptly at 8 a.m.

The program will feature a concert of prayer under the direction of Rich Wallen. The Master of Ceremonies will be Ed Hasnerl, Pastor at the Eagle Creek Community Church.

The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.
