MCEDC Hires New Executive Director

  
 
The Marshall County Economic Development Corporation has a new executive director.

Jerry Chavez is a 17-year veteran in economic development having had a successful business expansion career in North Dakota, Montana and Arizona.

Chavez has led communities to diversifying their local economies. He will be developing marketing efforts that will allow the county to compete in a competitive environment and to ensure the county’s economic development efforts are a success.

Economic Development Corporation Chairman Bill Davis said that Chavez will initially be responsible for retaining and expanding the local existing businesses and attracting new businesses to the county. He will also continue in a successful regional effort where communities have come together with the goal of creating more employment opportunities for area residents.
