Patty Wisniewski, who was a part of the Everglades of the North documentary that featured Starke County, is a part of the production team about this documentary entitled “Shifting Sands”. Wisniewski and Lee Botts are working with Lakeshore Public Television to put together this program.
In 1888, the south end of Lake Michigan became an industrial area because of the railroads and the ease of shipping by way of Lake Michigan. This documentary will show how this affected the sand dunes along the shore, the shift in thinking about the dunes and how they are now being preserved for future generations.
