Alexander Pranger pleaded guilty to the charge in a plea agreement with the state and Judge Robert O. Bowen sentenced Pranger to 15 years in the Department of Corrections with no part of the sentence suspended.
Pranger was arrested in October after a police received a complaint from a resident that a man by the name of “Alex” was in her apartment making meth. When officers attempted to speak to Pranger, he was in the bathroom and told the officers he was taking a shower. Believing Pranger was attempting to destroy evidence, they kicked in the door and found him standing in the bathroom in only a t-shirt.
Precursors and other paraphernalia were found inside the bathroom and Pranger was taken into custody.
This isn’t Pranger’s first offense of this nature. He was convicted in 2005 on a charge of Manufacturing Methamphetamine and in June of 2012 he was convicted by a jury on a charge of Possession of Chemical Reagents with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine.
