The West Central School Board reorganized during its first meeting of the year.

“Jim Bergens was elected president,”stated Superintendent Charles Mellon. “Dennis Gutwein was elected vice president which is his second term and the same with Kerry Miller as secretary. It’s his second time in.”

That was Superintendent Charles Mellon who said the board recognized some retirees for their many years of service to the corporation.

“Evelyn Dunker had been a custodian for 33 years and Rodney Perdue was a bus driver for 37 years. Rod is still keeping his license and I’m sure he would help us out in an emergency situation. It was just nice that we were able to recognize those two individuals that spent a lot of their time here within the corporation.”
