The Pulaski County Commissioners responded to a man who brought up some concerns during the public comment portion of their regular meeting Friday night. The man told the commissioners that he works with an auction company and he claimed the county sold items at auction without advertising the items to be sold.

Commissioner Tracey Shorter asked for a list of the items he believes were sold but not advertised and the dates on which they were sold. He said he was not sure of all the items that were sold, but a semi was one of them.

He said he felt like the lack of advertising cost the county some money.

EMA Director Larry Hoover told the commissioners that his department was unable to get all the items advertised in time because they had received the title shortly before the auction date and he needed to have them sold as soon as possible. He said he would have liked to have them advertised but the timing did not allow.

President of the commissioners Larry Brady said more equipment will be sold in the future and they will do their best to properly advertise them.
