A Plymouth man was sentenced in Marshall County Superior Court 1 to ten years on two serious charges.

Glenn Gridley, 53, pleaded guilty in a plea agreement with the state to a charge of Manufacturing Methamphetamine. He admitted in open court that he had the equipment necessary to manufacture methamphetamine at his home on Bayless Street in Plymouth prior to his arrest on Feb. 7.

Gridley was headed to trial on a charge of Serious Violent Felon in Possession of a Firearm, but pleaded guilty to the charge four days prior to his trial. The terms of the sentence were left in the hands of Judge Robert O. Bowen.

It was noted that Gridley had prior convictions of serious felonies, including a federal conviction in 1990 for Dealing in Cocaine while armed. In this case, officers found seven rifles, three handguns, and several hundred rounds of ammunition at a trailer next to Gridley’s home. Among the items collected were armor-piercing bullets.

Gridley was sentenced to ten years in the Indiana Department of Corrections on the charge of Manufacturing Methamphetamine with no part of that sentence suspended. On the charge of Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon, Gridley was sentenced to serve 10 years in the DOC and Judge Bowen ordered the sentences to run concurrently, or at the same time. Judge Bowen also ordered purposeful incarceration for the Manufacturing Methamphetamine charge.
