FOP Announces Dispatcher, Officer of the Year

The Fraternal Order of Police recently nominated this year’s Officer of the Year and Dispatcher of the Year. On Thursday, Dec. 12 the order presented the awards to this year’s recipients, dispatcher Stacey Burger and Officer Chris Kisela.

Burger was awarded the Dispatcher of the Year for displaying and maintaining her personal service to the community by participating in programs, and for her significant positive impact on her coworkers and the general public by maintaining professional discipline and compassion during calls, which are commonly times of crisis.

Kisela, meanwhile, was awarded the Officer of the Year award for displaying and maintaining personal service to the community by participating in programs which make a positive impact on the community. He said he was also nominated for “making significant positive impact on my coworkers and the general public by maintaining professional discipline.”

The nominations were made by coworkers and selected by a panel of judges.
