Water Conditioner Presentation Given at Marshall County Commissioners Meeting

The Marshall County Commissioners entertained information from Dean Freije from High Tech Water Equipment.

Freije explained the benefits of a no-salt conditioner at the Marshall County Jail. He claimed his product can cut down on scale build-up and leave water lines clear of debris. This technology would take the place of a salt conditioner and reportedly be maintenance-free for 10 to 20 years.

The company is installing the systems in jail facilities in Shelby County and in Miami County with two more systems being installed yet this month. They also work with national distributing companies.

The proposed cost of the system is $11,000.

The commissioners suggested getting together with maintenance supervisor Gary Masterson and he can take the representative out to to the jail to survey the facility. A recommendation could then be brought back to the commissioners at a later time.
