The Culver Community School Board last night approved the contract for the new superintendent who will be replacing Superintendent Brad Schuldt at the corporation. Vicki McGuire will begin her term on Jan. 2 after the board approved the new contract unanimously.
Schuldt announced he will be leaving the corporation at the end of the year. Board President Ryan Sieber explained that the board had gone through the application and interview processes, held a public input meeting, and announced their decision last night.
McGuire said she was excited to be at the corporation and looks forward to working with everyone at the corporation, and declined a two percent annual raise, opting instead to take a one percent raise.
“Times are hard,” she said. “And I’m a teacher at heart.”
