The Pulaski County Commissioners this week received an update on the efforts of the Community Development Commission, as Executive Director Nathan Origer explained they are moving forward with their “Savor Indiana” special and the hiring of a company to redesign the CDC website.

Origer explained the scouting for locations to spotlight on the “Savor Indiana” PBS special has been finished, and he expects filming and production to take place during December. He said three or four venues will likely be featured, including the hospital, which he said impressed the producers.

The CDC will also be moving forward with redesigning the website, as Origer said they have chosen a company, Crane and Grey, to perform the work. Origer said the expense is not to exceed $60,000 over two years, and after the two-year period, the only expenses involved would be the monthly hosting fee for the website itself and fees for any changes that would need made to the website.

Origer said the CDC board received proposals from five firms and ultimately decided to go with Crane and Grey.

The commissioners approved his request to hire the company to perform a redesign of the website.
