HealthLinc to Host Coffee Talks on Affordable Care Act at SCPL

HealthLinc will be hosting “coffee talks” on the Affordable Care Act and its enrollment today at the Starke County Library, where they will discuss provide an opportunity for individuals to learn about the Affordable Care Act and how the law affects them and their loved ones. Certified application counselors will be on hand to help people enroll in the Health Insurance Marketplace and help them find out if they qualify for subsidies that offset the cost of insurance coverage.

HealthLinc has already assisted almost 600 residents with applications or questions about the Affordable Care Act and the Health Insurance Marketplace, and these coffee talks will facilitate a group discussion for further assistance.

Individuals and families interested in enrolling in the Health Insurance Marketplace should bring all necessary documentation, including Social Security Numbers or document numbers for legal immigrants; employer, tax and income information for every member of your household who needs coverage; policy numbers for any current health insurance plans covering members of your household; a completed Employer Coverage Tool form available here [https://www.healthcare.gov/downloads/ECT_Application_508_130615.pdf] for every job-based plan you or someone in your household is eligible for. This includes coverage you are eligible for, but do not enroll in.

The talk will take place at 5 p.m. at the Henry F. Schricker Public Library in Knox.
