Two Arrested After 68.4 Grams of Heroin Found in Car

 
 
A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of two people in Marshall County on Friday.

An officer with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department initiated a traffic stop on U.S. 31 near the intersection of 12B Road he found the vehicle to have an equipment violation. K9 Arras was deployed and searched around the vehicle where the dog indicated the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle.

When the officer searched the vehicle, a bag containing 162 individual baggies of a white substance was reportedly found. The substance reportedly field-tested positive for heroin. The total weight of heroin was 68.4 grams.

Nathan Harrison, 22 of Wabash, and 19-year-old Christina Johnson were arrested on preliminary charges of Dealing in a Controlled Substance plus Possession of a Controlled Substance greater than three grams. Bond has not yet been set and court dates are pending in Marshall County Court #1.

Formal charges are pending after the Marshall County prosecutor reviews the case.
