The Oregon-Davis School Board approved a change in the facility rental agreement per the recommendation of the corporation’s attorney and the insurance company.
Interim Superintendent Greg Briles said it is a pretty standard change.
“We increased the amounts for liability: $1 million for individual and $2 million for incident,” said Briles. “With my understanding, it’s commonplace practice today.”
The board also considered a recommendation to switch insurance agencies from Neace Lukens to Gibson Insurance Agency.
“The reason why we’re looking into something like that is local access to our agent. We would not be changing any of our policies or moving from one company to another company other than our agent. We’re going to be having them come in and do a presentation to the board before we finalize that.”
The board will next meet on Nov. 18 to consider that change.
