Marshall County Commissioners Approve Fundraising for United Way

The Marshall County Commissioners approved a request from Deputy Auditor Brenda Harper to collect donations for United Way.

Harper will be going to every county office to explain a payroll deduction plan to help organizations in the Marshall County area that benefit from funds from the United Way.

A contest is also involved where a person can have a designated parking space at the county building for bringing in the most funds for United Way. The parking spot will be good for one month. Another drawing for all of the employees who donate is planned where the winner will also have a designated parking space for one month.

The commissioners agreed that this is a good promotion for the employees and commissioner Jack Roose offered to help Harper in gathering collections. The payroll deductions would begin in January. The campaign will begin in November.
