According to The Culver Citizen, Robert Hollender and Whitney Alvis purchased the business. They noted that they will be splitting the Main Street business into two different spaces and are brainstorming ideas for the rest of the space. A hardware store will not be featured.
What is planned is a facelift of the building to bring back the history of the store. The owners plan to work to get a business started at 120 S. Main St. and to give back to the community.
The hardware store had been in the Culver area for over 100 years. The Culver Citizen reported that the owner, David Beggs, will be retiring from the hardware business and he and his wife will continue to operate the Main Street Manor across the street.
