The target to complete the U.S. 35 bridge project remains the week of Thanksgiving, according to INDOT spokesman Matt Deitchley.
The bridge beams were recently set and the deck has been poured. The rain this week has not set back the project as workers are able to do other aspects of the project during inclement weather.
The U.S. 6 bridge project near Kingsbury is also expected to wrap up by Thanksgiving. This project is similar to the U.S. 35 bridge project in that the bridge beams were recently set and the deck has been poured.
Both projects are on schedule. The U.S. 35 bridge project has been in the works since June and the U.S. 6 project has been ongoing since the beginning of May.
