A highway in LaPorte County is open again after being closed to repair a railroad crossing. State Road 39 between U.S. 30 and U.S. 6 reopened this week. The road was closed so repairs could be made to a railroad crossing. INDOT officials say the work wrapped up ahead of schedule, so the road has been reopened to through traffic.
