Indiana State Police Accepting Applications

The Indiana State Police officials are accepting applications for the 74th ISP Recruit Academy.

Duties include patrolling county, state and federal roads to detect and apprehend criminal and traffic law violators, investigate accidents, render first aid to victims until Emergency Medical Services arrive at the scene, criminal investigations, and a host of other requirements.

Troopers perform duties alone which requires independent judgment in unique situations.

While troopers begin their careers with road patrol duties, there are many different career paths with the Indiana State Police.

To be eligible for consideration, you must be a United States citizen, be at least 21 and less than 40 years old when appointed as a police employee, have vision correctable to 20/50, and possess a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or GED. You must also reside or be willing to reside and serve anywhere within the State of Indiana. No exception will be made for anyone who does not meet all requirements.

To apply, visit www.in.gov/isp/2368. Applications are due by Nov. 1, 2013.
