Two Arrested After Warrant Service Incident

A warrant arrest situation could have been a lot worse if not for quick action by deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.

Three deputies arrived at the Cale Street Apartments in Lapaz to take a wanted felon into custody Sunday afternoon. When the officers arrived at the scene, they witnessed the suspect, Christopher Bunch, flee on foot and enter a pickup. Bunch then attempted to flee in the vehicle. A taser was deployed which prevented Bunch from fleeing in the vehicle and causing a potentially deadly situation.

Bunch was taken into custody without further incident. He was booked into the Marshall County Jail on two felony warrants and new preliminary charges of Resisting Law Enforcement and Invasion of Privacy.

Bunch’s mother, Kathy Cloverdale, was also arrested on preliminary charges of Disorderly Conduct and Assisting a Criminal.
