North Judson Town Wide Yard Sale Approaching; Town Selling Old Signs

The town of North Judson is gearing up for their town-wide yard sale event, planned for Saturday, Aug. 10 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Clerk-Treasurer Donna Henry said they currently have about 46 people in town signed up with five more people outside of town registered for yard sales, and Henry said they’re working on putting the maps together to have them available on Friday with a list of yard sale locations.

Henry said the maps will also feature information about the town’s sale of old street signs, as city officials are currently replacing the older signs with newer, more reflective signs as required by the state. Now, she said they have leftover old signs that they’re looking to sell. Anyone interested can contact the clerk-treasurer’s office at (574) 896-3340 or stop in for more information.

The town-wide yard sale event allows for the purchase of a discounted yard sale permit fee from $10 to $5 for residents who register for the event, and the day is also exempt from the total number of yard sale days allowed for residents.

Maps can be picked up beginning Friday, Aug. 9 at the North Judson Water Department, First Farmers Bank and Trust, First National Bank, Bank of Indiana, Carpenter’s Marathon, NAPA, Piggies ‘n’ Cream, Pioneer Florist, Main Street Florist, Ray’s Super Foods, Good-to-Go, Hoppe Hardware, Family Express, Subway/Pizza Express, Fingerhut Bakery and Cafe, NJ Auto Parts, and Norwayne Lumber.

Meanwhile, the town wide yard sale in San Pierre will take place Saturday as well from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
