Gas Prices to Increase Slightly

You will see an uptick in gas prices today but it’s not because of the impending Fourth of July holiday. Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan said this is a normal fluctuation in prices. Oil saw a $2 gain in the market which is the cause of the increase.

In investigating gas prices around the state, the northwest part of the state is still feeling the pinch of prices at the pump. While gas is averaging around $3.50 a gallon in this area, Indianapolis is seeing prices less than $3 a gallon in unleaded gasoline. DeHaan explains that Indianapolis is a completely different market than the northwestern part of the state so you will see that drastic price difference.
